Engaging Nonviolence

Engaging Nonviolence

Dr. Martin Luther-King

"We still have a choice today:  nonviolent co-existence or violent co-annihilation. We must move past indecision to action.  Now let us begin. Now let us rededicate ourselves to the long and bitter-but beautiful-struggle for a new world. The choice is ours, and though we might prefer it otherwise, we must choose in this crucial moment of human history.”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Nonviolence is not a garment to be put on and off at will. Its seat is in the heart, and it must be an inseparable part of our being.”

Mahatma Gandhi, 1869-1948
